WHY ELON BELIEVES TESLA WILL BE WORTH 10 TRILLION 🚀

Elon is obsessed with Robotaxis. So much so, that he was willing to ignore the $25,000 Tesla (The one that would spell the end of ICE vehicles).

Enter Tesla Execs. They were like, "Hey Elon, why not both?"

Elon's biographer, Walter Isaacson releases his "Elon Musk" biography on Tuesday. Whilst writing the biography, he saw the inner world of Musk. And because of this, we all get insight into why Papa Elon believes Tesla will be worth 10 trillion.

So where is Musk currently at with his Robotaxi idea? Well. It's growing faster than a young, heartbroken man on steroids. Elon sees a future where Tesla Robotaxis are earning for their owners. They'll run errands. They’ll provide transport. And by doing so, they'll generate a bit of pocket money.

Roughly $30,000 of pocket money. And maybe some people wouldn't even need to own cars.

Let's jump back to 2021.

Musk and his team gather in Austin. The mission? Brainstorm a high-volume robotaxi.

Elon was all, "We're gonna need A LOT of these babies!". And by A LOT, he meant 20 million a year.

So over the next year, Papa Musk and the team debated. Steering wheel or no steering wheel? How much faith do they put on FSD being ready in time? Elon became adamant. "No mirrors, no pedals, no steering wheel. This is me taking responsbility for this decision."

To the resistance of his team, Musk made his commander's call: "It's my fault if it f**ks up. [...] We are all in on autonomy."

So what is Elon's vision? It's all or nothing. The Tesla robotaxi will be a revolution. A moment that people will talk about 100 years from now.

"This is the product that makes Tesla a ten-trillion company." - Elon

But the debate wasn't done. One late evening in September 2022, Elon's team decides to revisit the $25,000 Tesla. And this time they convinced him. "Elon, buddy, we need both!" they persuaded, talking tech and growth targets.

The team presented both the $25,000 Tesla and the Robotaxi model (both inspired by the Cybertruck). Musk, after a teeny bit of sulking, finally got it.

"When one of these comes around a corner, people will think they are seeing something from the future." - Elon

Musk has the vision of Robotaxis. Musk's team knows how to get there.

And we'll all be the beneficiaries when that future arrives.

VOLKSWAGEN ID. GTI: THE EV SUCCESSOR ⚡️

Alright pluggers, hold onto your fuzzy dice! Volkswagen has introduced the successors to the GTI, the electric ID.GTI Concept.

They've modernized the three famous letters from the legendary hot hatch.

The I no longer stands for injection. The I now stands for intelligence. 🧠

First thing’s first… It looks killer. With its roots tracing back to the ID.2all concept decked out in classic GTI swag.

Inside, there’s no full interior yet, but from the sneak peeks, it's shaping up to be a minimalist's dream. Fewer buttons. More screen. Not sure if that's the way after the Golf MK8's reception...

The red and white tartan seat lives on for those who love nostalgia. They also included a nod to the iconic golf ball shifter. Some things are too good to retire!

Q&A:

"Don't they already have the GTX for electric speedsters?"

GTX is the cool cousin who lives far away and loves four-wheel drives. GTI is your fun buddy who lives next door and loves front-wheel drive hot hatches.

"When can I throw my money at VW for this beauty?"

The ID.GTI isn't a starry-eyed dream. It's gearing up for its production debut in 2026, with a commercial launch likely in 2027. So, start saving those pennies!

Our take:

VW's turning up the heat in the electric world. And we're so here for it! GT

BYD BECOMES 5TH LARGEST AUTOMAKER 📈

Okay children, gather round. BYD is accelerating up to the big dogs.

Here's the juice.

BYD claimed a fab fifth spot in the world's largest automaker parade this past July.

Dishing out the digits:

Global car sales in July (which, mind you, includes both the old-school gas guzzlers and NEVs) hit 5.44 million.

Oh, and did I mention? It turns out the big 10 car giants hog 50.7% of the total sales pie.

Shout-out to Toyota, despite a 5% sales slide in July, still wear the global top-dog crown with a 10.2% share.

Volkswagen, with a hiccup in sales, especially in Europe and China, took second. Honda and Ford round it off with third and fourth.

Now here’s the electric twist.

BYD, flashing a 4.7% share, is the only top 10 OEM with nothing but New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) 👏

And they’re climbing those the ranks fast. As their overseas sales rev up, the big players have to watch their rearview mirrors!

Counterpoint Research, crowned Tesla and BYD as the reigning champs in the global BEV arena. But you already knew that, didn’t you?

LOTUS EMEYA: A FOUR-DOOR HYPER GT THAT HITS 0-60 IN 2.8SEC 🏎️

Step aside, Eletre! Emeya is here.

This Hyper GT wants to make you forget every other big heavy EV in the auto industry. Yeah, looking at you, Tesla, Porsche, Lucid, and Rimac.

Let's dive in and sizzle through the deets.

Roll out the red carpet because Lotus is back, baby!

Under Geely's wing, the British darling has launched a new all-electric GT. The Emeya can juice up its battery faster than you can say "zoom zoom!"

Well, almost.

It's got a 350 kW DC stall, promising a wild 90 miles every 5 minutes and reaching 80% charge in 18 minutes. Impressive? You bet.

Power wise, it's pumping out 905 hp (675 kW) and 727 lb-ft of torque.

Let's speedrun the details:

  • The front grille, rear diffuser, and spoiler are both functional and aesthetic.

  • Genius air suspension system.

  • KEF surround sound system.

  • AR heads-up display

  • Fancy driver aids.

Now, here's the drainer: other EV bigwigs already flaunting tri-motor setups.

The Model S Plaid? 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds. The Air Sapphire? 2.0 seconds. And don’t get me started on Bentley and its wild 1.7-second claim.

Even Rivian’s rolling in with its 835 hp truck, only a bit shy of Emeya's power.

But all said and done, Emeya’s got the vroom factor. It’s sleek. It’s cozy. It’s hot.

P.S. If you're in New York, try and get over to the Studio Emeya event!
